It should be obvious that before one crafts a meme attempting to ridicule an entire faith's naming conventions, one might first consult a dictionary. Or a history book. Or, at the very least, a globe.

Buddhists don't name their children 'Buddha' for the same reason no one names theirs 'Pharaoh' or 'Pope'—it's a title, not a given name.

The historical Buddha was Siddhartha Gautama, a name still used today. Christians, meanwhile, name their sons Jesús with striking regularity across Latin America (a fact easily observed by anyone who's ever glanced at a roster in Los Angeles, Miami, or Mexico City). And yes, Muslims honor the Prophet Muhammad—just as countless Jews name boys Moshe, Hindus name sons Krishna, and Catholics name children Francis after the saint.

This isn't 'unoriginality'—it's tradition, one as old as human reverence itself. The irony, of course, is that the meme's author, while scoffing at others' naming choices, apparently lacked the creativity to research even the most basic facts.

But then again, it really should be obvious.
